Hi, Anupam Kundu. Of course, the type of activities in a design sprint have been practiced for generations. And so I appreciate your precise articulation of words, and for paying homage to the OGs we’ve all learned from, prior to Google. They certainly paved the way, as did cavemen with fire!

In this article, I’m specifically referencing GV’s design sprint, which was formed within Google. Jake additionally included references to these sources that allowed him to put his recipe together.

Likewise, the code sprints we used within New Haircut certainly borrowed from plenty of sources. Of course. What we were so excited about is that they invoked a design thinking approach + mindset — things within a Sprint 0, and Agile overall, that we felt were missing. And so we adapted to suit our needs.
